Late-Night Meals May Cause Acid Reflux And Increase The Risk Of Heart Disease    




Eating before bedtime may result in acid reflux because the body stays in a horizontal position, making it easier for the food to return. However, there are other causes supporting the fact that eating late is not healthy: it’s harder for the body to process glucose, and recently, a study suggested that eating earlier, and distributing meals through the day lowers the risk of type 2 diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease.
