Excess salt is related to high blood pressure, but there are also foods with “good” sodium. However, the opposite is also bad: lack of sodium will result in acid reflux, nervous problems, memory loss and kidney stones, among others. To avoid this, you can try sodium-rich foods such as spinach, beetroot, celery, carrots and eggs.

A study has found a relation between acid reflux and premature aging of blood vessels. Recent studies showed a correlation between heartburn drugs known as PPIs and heart disease, kidney disease, and dementia. Other studies have also related it to a mechanism that prevent cleaning up the residues in the cells, resulting in premature aging.

Cabins are pressurized, but they won’t have the same atmosphere of the ground, so foods that induce bloating or heartburn will cause an extra pressure on your stomach and must be avoided.
