Heartburn Drugs Related To Higher Risk Of Strokes    




A study has shown that certain drugs for heartburn, called PPIs, increase the risk of ischemic stroke. These are the most common types of strokes, in which a blood clot obstructs the flow to the brain. However, another type of heartburn medicine showed no relation to stroke risk.
