Foods With Fiber Promote A Positive Effect In The Gut Bacteria, Reducing Anxiety

Foods With Fiber Promote A Positive Effect In The Gut Bacteria, Reducing Anxiety

They Contain Short-Chain Fatty Acids (SCFA), Which Might Relieve Psychosocial Stress

According to recent research, fiber ingestion containing short-chain fatty acids (SCFA) might relieve psychosocial stress. These high-fiber foods may reduce the effects of stress on the intestinal bacteria and in anxiety. SCFA seem to be related to promoting good health, reversing the effects that inflammation has on the gut, related to gastrointestinal conditions such as IBS (irritable bowel syndrome). SCFA has additional benefits from digestive disorders, weight loss, diabetes, and heart health. These fatty acids are produced when the gut bacteria ferment in the colon and are a source of fuel and nutrition for cells in that area of the body. Even though there are SCFA supplements, they are a poor substitute for its natural sources in fiber-rich foods. Also, they do not have an effect on body weight increase as a result of stress. An additional benefit is its ability to separate undigested food particles from the gut wall, preventing these to enter the bloodstream and cause persistent inflammation.
